Post-occupancy evaluation (POE) is the process of evaluating buildings in a systematic manner after the buildings were occupied. The evaluation is to find the difference between performance criteria and actual building performance, thus providing insights into the consequences of past design decisions and the resulting building performance.
As a major part of post-occupancy evaluation, this app enables collecting occupant survey data in order to understand building performance in real-time. In a quick, user friendly survey the building users enter their perception on temperature, humidity, air freshness and overall satisfaction regular basis. The time stamped data updated in the cloud server will be correlated with objective indoor condition measurements such as temperature and humidity values collected. The app will be trailed out to collect the performance of lecture theatres at RMIT University in Melbourne. The classification of the data based on functional areas enables comparison of wide range of data collected from general public.
